.IT Domain Names

Introduced in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-code Top-Level Domain is quite popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for forming creative and catchy domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to have an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to return to your website or to share it with colleagues and pals. The domain extension can also be used for a website, which is linked to the technology sector taking into consideration that IT is an abbreviation, which is recognized all over the globe.

As .IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that handles this top-level extension, such a domain can be bought through a third-party provider, such as ours. Because there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of various regions and localities in Italy reserved for local 3rd-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any sort are not permitted on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such 3rd-level domains, though, considering the fact that they can be registered only by locals.
